Banks of portland

Thanks to tom for keeping me posted on the various banks he has been spotting and skating around Portland.  I paid homage to this down at the kalamazoo skatepark.

I have awoken to a really sore body.  The result of two days of skating, one with a spectacular, legs in the air slam on my back...directly on the coping. 

Again the price of radness is paid. 

A pay off though is really coming out of this in not too bad of shape. Super sore, but i am going to credit some over all fitness to not being completely broken.  

The scene at upjohn park was nice yesterday..which i noticed more because i had to sit out the majority of the session.

I haven't had opportunity to, but the brothers are getting some curling in this season. People are paying a fair sum for ice time inside...these home grown stones were worth the investment.

fun til death on snow

  Today, January 11th..it is 50 degrees out. All of the snow that we had, is gone.  The small storm that we had over Christmas/ New Years was enough in the Ann Arbor area to get some skiing in and it has finally stayed cold enough to get some curling in.

 These Home Made Curling stones are two stainless steel salad bowls, with a pop rivet to bind the two bowls together and then filled with concrete with a handle as you can see here.
